Currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, "Bark in the Park" is Chicago's oldest dog-friendly party for the whole family. Beginning with a 2.5-mile walk along Chicago's beautiful lakefront, the event is followed by the best dog party in town with food, beverages, entertainment, and dog-friendly demonstrations. Some of the exciting activities planned for that day include: canine agility courses, product samples from small business sponsors, dog massages, pawdicures, arts and crafts, souvenir photos, and a 50/50 cash raffle. Guests also enjoy a variety of free food, a beer tent, live music, and much more!
THE EVENT
The event runs from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
- Registration Opens: 7:30 a.m.
- Walk Starts: 9:00 a.m.
- Fueled by Lagunitas Beer Tent Opens & Live Music by Johnny Alleto: 10:00 a.m.
- Raffle Drawing: 12:30 p.m.
- Event Ends: 1:00 p.m.
Begin your morning with an optional 5K stroll with (or without) your dog along Chicago’s beautiful lakefront path. Gather a team or walk along with other animal lovers. Walkers have the option to fundraise on behalf of our furry friends as an extra boost to support the thousands of homeless cats and dogs we care for each year. After your walk, you and your doggy friend will enjoy over 50 pet-related sponsors and vendors, as well as food and drink samples. A Tucker Pups canine agility course will be available for your dog to show off his/her skills and some of Chicago’s leading dog trainers will be on hand for dog demonstrations and tips. And of course, don’t miss the beer tent, live music, contests, and much more!
