THE Chicago Cat Friendly Vet Practice

Metropolitan Veterinary Center has been designated a “Cat Friendly Practice” by the American Association of Feline Practitioners. This designation is difficult to achieve, requiring we go above and beyond industry standards to take great care of cats! Dr. Jacobs is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP).

Metropolitan Veterinary Center Commitment to Our Feline Patients:

We are dedicated to providing you and your cats with compassionate, comprehensive, and high-quality medical care. For example, we only use non-adjuvanted vaccines for cats, and we follow a three-year vaccine protocol. We can also perform vaccine titers.Click here for further information regarding our non-adjuvanted feline vaccines.

Our team is dedicated to continuing to incorporate new veterinary technology and knowledge to benefit all of our patients. We always work to exceed human and feline care expectations and work diligently to strengthen the animal-human bond present between your cat and you.

Here at Metro Vet, we understand how important it is to have a trusting and healthy relationship with each client. If this relationship is not forged, we may be unable to meet your needs or provide the proper care for your pet. We will continually work to strengthen the relationship we have with you, as well as your pet. To do this, we provide an itemized list at each of your visits. This quality Medical Plan is customized to every cat we treat, and we outline the cost related to every service and treatment we provide.

We guarantee to provide you with consistency and continuity of care. Our hospital strives to maintain consistency with our recommendations, service and health care to our clients and patients. We want you to have the same positive experience at each visit to our hospital. We will not make you travel back and forth to 24-hour care facilities, then back to us. We understand that car rides can be especially stressful for our feline patients. We are a state of the art clinic prepared to treat our patients when needed, including overnight.

When you use our services, we will answer any questions you have. There are many health care treatments that are confusing, especially if your cat is sick. We will work to make sure you understand everything we recommend without using complex medical jargon. We will also explain why a specific treatment or service is recommended and what you can expect after treatment.

We truly believe the guarantees we provide are going to exceed your expectations of care. Each of the clients we service has unique needs, and our goal is to develop a relationship based on trust and quality treatment, not only with you but with your pet as well. We know veterinary medicine is continually evolving. This is why we work to remain updated regarding veterinary technology and information to ensure we can provide each of our patients with the highest quality care possible.

At Metropolitan Veterinary Center, we are devoted to the health, happiness, and overall well-being of cats.
