Samantha Montalta, Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Practice Manager

Samantha graduated from Northern Illinois University with her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She attended Fox college where she received her Certified Veterinary Technician license. Sam has been with Metrovet since 2012 as a CVT, and is now the hospital practice manager. She lives on a farm with her husband, son and niece where they have horses, ponies, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, a donkey, and of course dogs and cats. Sam enjoys spending her free time horseback riding, camping, and helping the local animal control with rescue cases for large and small animals.

Alexandria Perez

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Alex graduated from Fox College and obtained her license as a Veterinary Technician after realizing that working with animals was the path for her. She is currently taking classes to be a Veterinarian. She grew up with animals her whole life but has a special love for horses. Alex has a red nose pit bull Hera, which she loves to take hiking and that dress up every Halloween together. In her spare time Alex loves hiking with her dog, horseback riding, reading and going to concerts. She has a love for traveling, thrift store shopping and when she was little was an EscaudaMuza, which is a female Mexican cowgirl.

Anna Rodriguez

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Anna has an Associates in Applied Science, majoring in Veterinary Technology. She enjoys spending time with her 2 year old son Eli and exploring all of the adventures that the city of Chicago has to offer to him. She is a huge Chicago Bear’s fan. She chose a job in Veterinary medicine because she wanted to be a voice for animals that cannot speak for themselves. She has a 4 year old American Bulldog rescue, named Milo.

Gerardo Salgado

Veterinary Assistant

Gerardo attended Animal Behavior College and is a Certified Dog Trainer. In addition to his work at Metro Vet he does pet sitting, dog walking and dog training. During his free time he loves to hang out with his wife, and his 7 year old Boxer named Rocky. He also enjoys video games and is a huge Cubs Fan, as is his dog Rocky.

Pamela Ross

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Pamela studied graphic design while in college, was an elementary education teacher and practiced in real estate before she finally found her true passion as a Veterinary Technician. Pam considered herself a born helper and has always had a love for animals. She found a career in veterinary medicine was the best of both worlds and obtained her degree from Fox College Vet Tech Institute and now is finally living her dream. She has one pit/boxer mix named Coffee. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, reading a good book and listening to music. Pam considers herself open, honest and can a good joke anytime!

Suzy Stoch

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Suzy has an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Science and has recently graduated from Fox Vet Tech Institute. She has always had a love and passion for animals and desire to extend that into a knowledge of veterinary medicine. Knowing she wanted to be a voice for animals she put that desire into real life and obtained her CVT license and now helps them every day! She has one dog, Kudlaty, which is polish for Fluffy. In her spare time Suzy enjoys hiking and brushing up on her art. She also has a black belt in Taekwondo.

Bianca Galvez

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Bianca graduated from high school at J. Sterling Morton East and went straight to Fox College Vet Tech Institute and obtained her degree in Applied Science. Growing up she had all kinds of family pets including fish, a bearded dragon, turtles, and of course dogs! She was always the one in charge of taking care them so becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician was the obvious career choice. She has two dogs, a pitbull and boxer, and two pet rats. In her spare time she enjoys playing volley ball, hanging out with her friends and playing video games. She loves baking and is always open to try new recipes she finds on facebook.

Matthew Piscitellio

Customer Service Representative

Matthew has lived in Chicago since 2015 after moving here from Buffalo, New York, and has been with the Metropolitan Veterinary Center since June of 2016. Although this is Matthew’s first job in the veterinary field, he has a thorough history in client relations. Matthew is a cat lover, and is a proud father of two; Jeffrey, a young tuxedo cat, and Buster, a senior with feline asthma.

Aide Alvarado

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Aide recently graduated from Fox College Vet Tech Institute obtaining her license as a certified veterinary technician. Growing up she know that working with animals was the right path for her. Aide would always find injured animals when enjoying her time outdoors and nurse them back to health. She has one pet rabbit named “Lola”. In her spare time she enjoys making her own jewelry and playing soccer. She has a passion for traveling which enhances her learning of other cultures and love all types of art work.
