Samantha Montalta, CVT, CVPM

Certified Veterinary Practice Manager

Samantha graduated from Northern Illinois University with her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She attended Purdue University's Practice Management school and passed her exam to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM). She also attended Fox college where she received her Certified Veterinary Technician license. Sam has been with MetroVet since 2012 as a CVT, and is now the hospital Practice Manager. She is a member of the VHMA (Veterinary Hospital Manager Association).

Sam lives on a farm with her husband and two boys; where they have horses, ponies, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, a donkey, and of course dogs and cats. Sam enjoys spending her free time horseback riding, camping, and helping the local animal control with rescue cases for large and small animals.

Alexandria Perez

Head Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Alex graduated from Fox College and obtained her license as a Veterinary Technician after realizing that working with animals was the path for her. She is currently taking classes to be a Veterinarian. She grew up with animals her whole life but has a special love for horses. In her spare time Alex loves hiking, horseback riding, reading and going to concerts. She has a love for traveling, thrift store shopping and when she was little she was an Escaramuza, which is a female Mexican cowgirl. Alex is pictured with her rescued pittie, Vida. 


Gerardo Salgado

Veterinary Assistant

Gerardo attended Animal Behavior College and is a Certified Dog Trainer. In addition to his work at Metro Vet he does pet sitting, dog walking and dog training. During his free time he loves to hang out with his wife, 2 kids, and their retriever mix dog, Charlie (pictured here). He also enjoys video games and is a huge Cubs Fan.

Pamela Ross

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Pamela studied graphic design while in college, was an elementary education teacher and practiced in real estate before she finally found her true passion as a Veterinary Technician. Pam considered herself a born helper and has always had a love for animals. She found a career in veterinary medicine was the best of both worlds and obtained her degree from Fox College Vet Tech Institute and now is finally living her dream. She has one pit/boxer mix named Coffee. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, reading a good book and listening to music. Pam considers herself open, honest and can a good joke anytime!

Suzy Stoch

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Suzy has an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Science and has recently graduated from Fox Vet Tech Institute. She has always had a love and passion for animals and desire to extend that into a knowledge of veterinary medicine. Knowing she wanted to be a voice for animals she put that desire into real life and obtained her CVT license and now helps them every day! She has one dog, Kudlaty, which is polish for Fluffy. In her spare time Suzy enjoys hiking and brushing up on her art. She also has a black belt in Taekwondo.

Bianca Galvez

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Bianca graduated from high school at J. Sterling Morton East and went straight to Fox College Vet Tech Institute and obtained her degree in Applied Science. Growing up she had all kinds of family pets including fish, a bearded dragon, turtles, and of course dogs! She was always the one in charge of taking care of them so becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician was the obvious career choice. Bianca recently attended the Academy of Veterinary Imaging to take courses in ultrasonagraphy. She now performs all of our in house ultrasounds on our patients and sends them out to a radiologist for review. Bianca is pictured with her beautiful pitbull named Nova!

Jordyn Ford

Veterinary Assistant

Jordyn graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Wildlife and Environmental Sciences. She’s grown up with cats, hamsters, turtles, ferrets, and fish. She now lives in Chicago with her husband, their dog named Stella, and their cat named Wednesday (pictured here). She loves furry little creatures, and feels that she hit the lottery being able to help them on a daily basis. In her free time, Jordyn loves to golf, travel, and watch all types of horror movies. She looks forward to meeting you and your companion at Metro Vet!

Paloma Arellano, CVT

(CVT) Certified Veterinary Technician

Paloma is a CVT with five years of experience in the Veterinary Field, and holds a double degree in Communications and Science of Veterinary Technology. She joined MetroVet in July 2018. Paloma is passionate about client education, and takes pride in being an advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves. In her free time she is often on the next available flight to explore new cities and countries. In between adventures she enjoys spending time at home with her pitbull Emilio.
